EFIS-EJI North Eastern European Immunology School

29-30 May 2026 | Jurmala, Latvia

Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

The Latvian Society for Immunology is pleased to invite you to the EFIS-EJI North Eastern European Immunology School, which will be held in Jurmala, Latvia, on May 29–30, 2026

The School is jointly organized by the EFIS-EJI, Baltic (Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian) and Polish Immunological Societies, with the support Rīga Stradiņš University. Its main goal is to strengthen regional cooperation in immunology, fostering dialogue between basic researchers and clinicians, as well as between early-career and senior immunologists.

The regional Schools of Immunology are envisioned as a continuing tradition, taking place annually in neighboring countries. This initiative began with the ABC7 Summer School in Tallinn (Estonia) in 2023, continued with the School of Immunology "50 Shades of Immunology" in Białystok (Poland) in 2024, and was hosted in Vilnius (Lithuania) in 2025.
The scientific program of school will address key topics in immunology, including inborn errors of immunity, autoinflammation, allergology  and neuroimmunology. The program will feature plenary lectures delivered by leading experts from across Europe. Early-career researchers are warmly encouraged to participate by presenting posters and short oral communications.

We warmly welcome you to Jurmala – the city of serene Baltic shores, refreshing pine forests, and timeless seaside charm, where inspiring conversations meet the calming rhythm of the waves.

Kind regards,
Latvian Society for Immunology

Riga

Riga is a vibrant Baltic capital where Gothic spires rise above one of Europe’s richest collections of Art Nouveau architecture, giving the city both medieval gravity and flamboyant flair. Beneath its reserved northern exterior lies a lively cultural scene of hip bars, modern art spaces and inventive restaurants. Still relatively uncrowded and affordable compared with many European capitals, it rewards visitors with beauty, creativity and a distinctly cosmopolitan atmosphere
